Aviron Technical Institute of Montreal offers professional programs leading to a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) — a short 1,800-hour training that provides specialized, in‐demand skills.
At the end of your training, you will complete an internship with a company to help you secure your first job.
Original birth certificate in the language of origin, plus a PDF translation by a recognized translator if not in French or English.
Original diploma and transcripts in PDF, in the language of origin, with translations by a certified translator (interpreter translations will be refused).
International passport in PDF showing your name, date of birth, photo, and signature. If not in French or English, include an official translation.
All international students must demonstrate proficiency in the language of instruction by passing a recognized language test.
Official personal bank statement summarizing all transactions over the past 12 months.
Important: No admission letter will be issued for the DEP in Electricity 5295 — that program is currently full.
A candidate’s file remains incomplete until all required documents are received and legible. Unreadable documents will not be processed.
Once we receive all documents and you meet the requirements, you will receive an acceptance letter within 7–10 days. This is a general timeline; files are evaluated case by case. Allow up to 48 business hours for a response.
All international students studying in Canada must subscribe to health insurance for the duration of their program.
Obtain the Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) for studies: quebec.ca/education/etudier-quebec.
After CAQ confirmation, apply for your study permit and, if doing an internship off campus, a co-op work permit: canada.ca/fr/immigration…/services/etudier-canada.html.
You must have both CAQ and study permit before starting the program. Send copies to the school before the first day.
For more on CAQ, study permits, and equivalencies, see our FAQ.
